Nightmare. This book is a series of articles written by different authors on the various countries of Europe. I agree with another reviewer who said that this book isn't adapted for people who don't have previous knowledge on this topic. I am working on an advanced degree, I have had to read this as a textbook for a course. It's more like a collection of articles from some "Political Science Rev. This book is Horrible!! I have never had to give such a bad review in my life. I am currently taking a class called "Politics of Western Europe" that requires this book and another one by the name of European Democracies (crepaz & steiner) I am sorry to say that this book is a torture. The author assumes that you know the subject and thus does not explain things carefully. He uses words that are too fancy ma
