"just so-so" according to McQueen. The scripture being studied is included. However, sometimes the questions and the scriptures don't make a solid connection to the reader. Personal stories would help in making it more readable. Our small group was able to use the book as a jumping off point for more discussion though.. No tie in AMS This study is awful. The author tries to make good points however is completely unable to tie his point in with the scripture he references. Some of the questions are ok, but it's hard to answer them without the context of good scripture. I also didn't find that the titles of the studies were applicable to the study. Very poorly written.. excellent basic bible study I cannot remember ever picking up anything by J.I.Packer which was not thought provoking, biblical and inspiring. This study is no exception, especially for new Christians. It is fairly short so not overwhelming and the material covers basics principles for Christian living so necessary for a solid foundation.
