DESCRIPTION:
Great review for inservice/boards "Just the facts" Great quick review for emergency medicine in-training exams / boards exams. One could read this text in two weeks just before the exam and retain the most relevant information. Highly recommended.. "Just the Facts in Emergency Medicine" according to R. Capps Oeters. I am currently prepping for the ConCert exam and am trying to streamline my studies. I am also answering lots of questions from various sources. Just the Facts seems to cover all the important points (i.e., has the answers to most of the questions), without bogging you down. It would not be a good resource for someone just starting to learn EM, but is a great resource for those who just need a review.
"Just the Facts in Emergency Medicine" is a "high-yield" companion to the "Tintinalli Study Guide" containing key concepts for board certification or re-certification. Its bullet-style format has been prepared under the guidance of the American College of Emergency Physicians and may be a useful addition to the Tintinalli "package" - textbook, handbook, pre-test and CD-ROM.

--------Weighted Numerical Score: 87 - 3 Stars . The amount of material in each chapter is good, with just the key facts included and the fluff removed. It will likely become a popular companion to the fifth edition of Tintinalli. The concise and consistent format makes it easy and quick to read. This is a very enjoyable book to read
