4.5 star Hot Hockey Hunk stars, can't wait to get more Sami & Matt BethyMac76 I am a lover of hockey and a huge lover of Tara Brown's writing so when I see she is writing a new hockey Rom Com, I get very excited. I loved Roommates, Brady and Nat's story was so good. Puck Buddies does include small parts of them but in this book their story hasn't even happened yet so Puck Buddies can definitely be read as a standalone but make sure you read both or you will be missing out on some very sweet and sexy Hockey hunks.Matt and Sami both come from rich families, but it's rich only in money, they are poor when it comes to being shown love as well. I'm happy to say that Tara Brown did NOT disappoint.I loved the rivalry, the tensions and the fights between the couple. However As I reached the end, I felt more and more upset for the male character. I hated what the female character was doing. The book ends on a cliffhanger. It's not a standalone book. I thought it was. So this means, I gotta sit here and wait and stew until the second book, hoping she will treat him better and . !. I never read Tara Brown's books before. A great read, and I actually sort of cried. I don't cry, but this book made me feel feelings. Real ones. Now I'm going to be obsessively checking for when the rest of their story comes out. If they don't end up together, I'm going to be mad. If they do end up together, I'm going to be mad.On the actual writing side of things, the story is outstanding. I like how it flashes back from Roommates. It's the writer intentionally stringing us along, begging us readers to beg for more. And we do! I felt like the entire book
