Perhaps my expectations about this book were too high given thehigh opinions of previous reviewers. The story was not all that interesting, nor were the characters. It all seemed rather vague and disjointed. The characters were just not well defined or developed, at least according to my personal expectations In my opinion, the best thing about this book was the bargain purschase price.The story just seemed . "Modern police procedural in Wales." according to Carol Weston. Mystery readers will enjoy this character. Drake has many flaws but I grew to love him as the novel proceeded .We know our police officers are human but we tend to invest them with superpowers. Not so with Drake, he is very human indeed
