Not ready for this after just a year of lessons Mr Royster I'm sure the book is fine, but the songs are too hard for my first-year student. Nice selection, though a nine-year-old won't know most of them. CD will be a help.Update - in her second year of lessons, she's ready for "Open Arms" and "New Soul." She still doesn't know who Journey is.. Jeff M Stein said Good song choices. I'm enjoying the song choices and it is helpful that there are two tracks. One where you play along with a flute and the other without the flute.
